No jail time for P.E.I. woman who stole from grocery store

A P.E.I. woman who stole $46 worth of items from a Superstore was recently given a suspended sentence.

Tanya Hope Oglesbee Smith appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown for sentencing.

Smith will be on probation for two years and must perform 60 hours of community service within the first six months.

She must also pay $46 in restitution and a $100 victim surcharge.
