A 24-year-old man who pleaded guilty to breaching his probation won’t be going to jail.

Christopher Vital West appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown Nov. 2 for sentencing after entering the guilty plea in September.

Instead of jail time, Douglas gave West a further six months of probation.

He also ordered West to pay a $100 victim surcharge.
