CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - A Cornwall man who broke several items and threatened to break a car window was recently given a suspended sentence for damaging property.
Chad Joseph Bevan, 24, appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown for sentencing after previously pleading guilty.
The court heard Bevan had been a marijuana user and there were indications of excessive energy drink use.
Crown attorney Lisa Goulden also told the court there were indications Bevan required anger management courses.
Defence lawyer Thane MacEachern said Bevan has since reduced his consumption of energy drinks and has stopped using marijuana.
With the suspended sentence, Bevan will be on probation for one year and must pay $400 in restitution.
