For the first time in P.E.I.’s history, the new lieutenant-governor will be sworn in outside of Charlottetown later this month.

Antoinette Perry will officially take office as the province's 42nd lieutenant-governor on Oct. 20 at the Tignish Parish Centre. Tignish is Perry's home commuity.

The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m., and there will be a public reception at the Tignish Heritage Inn and Gardens afterwards.
