A 25-year-old man was arrested at his Montague residence Friday evening and faces a number of charges.
At about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, Kings District RCMP responded to a complaint of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) driving in Montague.
While police searched the area for the ATV, they received an additional call stating the driver had struck a vehicle in a parking lot of a business and left the scene of the collision.
Police located the ATV at the man’s residence where he was arrested and remanded into custody. He will appear in Charlottetown provincial court today.
The ATV was seized and impounded for six months under the Highway Traffic Act.
The man is facing two charges of driving while prohibited, dangerous operation of motor vehicle, failure to remain at the scene of accident, and breach of probation, in addition to several offences of Off-Highway Vehicle Act.
