It appears that one Islander purchased themselves the ultimate Christmas gift this week, a $1 million lottery ticket.

A Lotto 6/49 ticket sold in Charlottetown for the Dec. 22, 2018 draw was worth $1 million, Atlantic Lottery said in a winner alert released after the draw.

Details on the winner will be released as soon as they come forward to collect the prize, said the corporation.
