CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Charlottetown’s micro-grant committee recommended funding be provided to 10 of the 21 applications received.
The cost to approve the 10 applications will be $19,500.
Ramona Doyle, sustainability officer with the city, noted that some of the projects were eligible for funding through the Department of Agriculture and that these two funds would be accessed to offset some of the micro-grant funding on two of the applications.
The committee was composed of Robert Zilke, planning department; Frank Quinn, manager of parks and recreation; Ron Atkinson, economic development officer; Scott Adams, public works manager; Wayne Long, events development officer; Laurel Lea, tourism officer; Mark Sandiford, arts advisory board; Jacqui Scaman, sustainability outreach assistant; Ramona Doyle, sustainability officer; Karen Murchison, co-chairwoman of the Charlottetown Food Council; and Jessica Brown, sustainability outreach co-ordinator.
