SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 22-year-old Summerside man accumulated a number of criminal charges in March of this year.
Tyson James Gard pleaded guilty to the charges in provincial court recently.
Gard faced five counts of breaking and entering into various homes and business in Prince County, one count of possession of stolen property, two counts of failing to stop his vehicle when prompted by a peace officer, one count of operating a vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public and one count of possession of methamphetamine.
All of the charges against Gard are from late March 2019, in the Prince County area.
Gard was sentenced to serve 27 months plus one day in jail but received credit for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay more than $45,000 in damages and is prohibited from driving for 12 months.
