STRATFORD, P.E.I. — Stratford town council approved its 2020-21 capital budget on Monday.
The $4,317,900 budget was approved during a livestream council meeting March 30.
A majority of the budget is funded by provincial and federal partners, meaning taxpayers are only affected by $1,029,800 of it.
Major projects planned with the capital budget are the completion of two in-progress bike lanes this year – one on Keppoch Road and one on Georgetown Road.
As well, land for Stratford's planned high school will be purchased, which may demand a supplemental budget once an agreement is made.
