Jail time for P.E.I. man after report from public

A P.E.I. man whose blood alcohol level was around twice the legal limit was sentenced recently to 10 days in jail.

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man whose blood alcohol level was around twice the legal limit was sentenced recently to 10 days in jail.

William Harold Williams, 30, appeared before Judge Jeff Lantz in provincial court in Charlottetown where he entered a guilty plea.

The court heard the police arrested Williams on May 14 after responding to a complaint about an erratic driver.

Along with the jail time, Williams must pay a $2,000 fine and a $600 victim surcharge.

He was also banned from driving for one year.
