CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 34-year-old Winsloe man has been issued a 90-day driving suspension after police responded to a complaint of an erratic driver.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the complaint and located the suspect vehicle on Maypoint Road a short time later.

The driver displayed signs of being impaired by drugs and was arrested.

An officer trained as a drug recognition expert confirmed the driver was under the influence of drugs and made the demand that a blood sample be provided.

Impaired driving charges are pending the blood sample toxicology results.

The man was released from custody with a 90-day driving prohibition order and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
