CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 31-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with drunk driving after police saw him nearly hit a light pole and a parked car on Queen Street early Sunday morning.
While on routine patrol at 1:25 a.m. on June 20, police observed the vehicle travelling south on Queen Street.
The vehicle was pulled over and it was determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and the driver was arrested.
Breath sample results were almost three times the legal limit.
The driver was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
