CARDIGAN, P.E.I. - A family of seven is temporarily homeless after fire early Friday morning on the outskirts of Cardigan.
The fire at 2:30 a.m. levelled the family’s two-storey, wood-frame house at 6206 Launching Road.
The couple and five children, who range in age from 12 to 17, are staying with relatives for now and were assisted Friday by Canadian Red Cross volunteers with emergency purchases including winter clothing, food and some other basics.
There were no injuries.
