Holland College celebrates multiculturalism during Embracing Diversity Fair

Holland College celebrated multiculuralism during its recent Embracing Diversity Fair.
The fair was held Thursday at the Culinary Centre and was part of a larger Diversity Week dedicated to embracing and celebrating the many cultures at Holland College. Students were encouraged to learn about other cultures and their customs at the library. They were also encouraged to wear traditional clothing or their country's flag.
The fair included traditional food and entertainment.
Uyen Nguyen, Nga Do, Nga Pham and Doris Vuong served some Vietnamese sticky rice, which is called gac, during the event.
The dish has a meaning of bringing good luck and is served on special occasions in Vietnam.
