Due to weather the following Health P.E.I. services have been impacted:
- COVID-19 testing sites (Borden, O’Leary, Slemon Park, Park Street, Montague) cancelled.
- Cough and fever clinic at Park Street, Charlottetown cancelled.
- COVID-19 vaccine toll-free line is closed.
- Women’s Wellness Program & Sexual Health Services closed.
- Morning appointments at the Charlottetown Ob/Gyn Clinic, located at the Mount cancelled further update at noon.
- Non-essential ambulatory care services at Prince County Hospital which includes oncology, endoscopy and day surgeries are cancelled.
- QEH ambulatory care, cancer treatment center and diagnostic imaging at QEH and Prince County Hospital are requesting patients call ahead before their appointments.
- Central Queens Health Centre, Cornwall Health Centre, Four Neighborhoods Health Centre, Gulf Shore Health Centre, Parkdale Medical Centre delayed opening until 10 a.m. with further announcement at 9 a.m.
- Eastern Kings Health Centre in Souris and the Montague Health Centre are closed for patient appointments.
- Alberton, O'Leary and Tyne Valley health centers until 9 a.m. with a further announcement at 8 a.m.
- Queens East Primary Care Network is cancelling all appointments until noon with a further announcement at 10:30 a.m. This includes INR, COPD and hypertension appointments at the Polycinic and the Diabetes Education Center at Sherwood Business Center.
- Kings County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department closed until 10:30 a.m.
- Kensington Health Centre and Harbourside Health Centre morning appointments cancelled.
- Jennifer Wood, nurse practitioner (Crapaud) delayed until 10 a.m with further announcement at 9 a.m.
- Dr. Michelle McKenna's office (Polyclinic) as well as the former practice of Dr. George Carruthers (Queen Street Medical) morning appointments cancelled.
- Community Mental Health and Addictions services in Montague and Souris offices closed.
- Health P.E.I. Garfield street and medicare office will be closed to the public until 10:30 a.m.
- Alberton, O'Leary and Tyne Valley Health Centres closed.
- Parkdale Centre nurse practitioner appointments for Chelsea Rogerson and Candice Rochford until 10 a.m. with a further announcement at 9 a.m.
Appointments for all of the following Public Health & Children's Developmental Services programs and services are delayed until 10:30 a.m., further announcement by 9:30 a.m. (a few exceptions for school-based programs that are cancelled for the day):
- Public health nursing - appointments cancelled until 10:30 a.m., further announcement by 9:30 a.m., in all offices - West Prince, East Prince, Queens and Kings.
- Speech language pathology - appointments cancelled until 10:30 a.m., further announcement by 9:30 a.m., in all offices - West Prince, East Prince, Queens and Kings.
- Audiology - appointments cancelled until 10:30, further announcement by 9:30 a.m., (office is located in Charlottetown).
- Pediatric psychology services - appointments cancelled until 10:30 a.m., further announcement by 9:30 a.m. (office is located in Charlottetown).
- Dental public health - appointments cancelled until 10:30 a.m., further announcement by 9:30 a.m., in all offices - Summerside and Charlottetown; school-based program cancelled for the day (due to school closure).
- Hep C treatment program - appointments cancelled until 10:30 a.m., further announcement by 9:30 a.m. (office is located in Charlottetown).
- Community nutrition program - appointments cancelled until 10:30 a.m., further announcement by 9:30 a.m., in all offices - West Prince, East Prince, Queens and Kings.
- School therapy occupational therapy - school-based program cancelled for the day (due to school closure).
Depending on the program or service, virtual care may be offered in place of an in-person appointment where applicable.

Anyone with emergency medical needs should call 911 or seek emergency services when:
- experiencing discomfort or tightness in the chest;
- experiencing unusual shortness of breath;
- experiencing abdominal pain;
- experiencing prolonged and persistent headache or dizziness;
- an injury may require stitches or involve a broken bone;
- a child has prolonged diarrhea or vomiting; or
- a baby under six months of age has a fever of 38 C (100.4 F) or higher.

A stroke is medical emergency. Do not drive to the hospital - call 911.
Learn the signs of stroke, think FAST:
- Face: is it drooping?
- Arms: can you raise both?
- Speech: is it slurred or jumbled?
- Time to call 911 right away.
Islanders with appointments at hospitals, clinics and other health care services are reminded to please call ahead to confirm their appointment – or notify staff if they are unable to make the appointment.
