Governor General Julie Payette to make first official visit to P.E.I.

Islanders are invited to attend the arrival Governor General Julie Payette on her first official visit to Charlottetown next week.

During the visit, Payette will meet with provincial officials including Lt.-Gov. Antoinette Perry and Premier Wade MacLauchlan. She will also visit the University of Prince Edward Island’s Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering.

Members of the public are invited to Government House (1 Terry Fox Dr., Charlottetown) no later than 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25 where Payette will receive military honours, including a 100-person guard of honour and a 21-gun salute.
