CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Dr. Heather Morrison, P.E.I.'s chief public health officer, has confirmed there are four more cases of COVID-19 in the province.

She provided this update during a 5 p.m. news conference in Charlottetown today. This bring the total for P.E.I. to nine cases confirmed, although Morrison said earlier in the day that one of the cases has recovered.

The four new cases are men from ranging between the ages of 55 and 70, two from Queens County and two from Prince County, who returned from international travel. Two travelled from Europe, one from the United States, and one from the Caribbean.

They all self-isolated at their homes upon returning to the Island, for which Morrison was pleased.

"In doing so, they have protected many Islanders."

In regard to one of the men being around the age of 70, Morrison noted all cases have symptoms typical for COVID-19 and hopes none of them will have to be hospitalized.

As P.E.I's case count increases, it's going to become more challenging to contact-trace anyone whom those infected may have interacted with.

"This is where the real work starts."
