Four cruise ships to dock in Charlottetown on Tuesday

With cruise ship season now in full swing on Prince Edward Island, Port Charlottetown prepares to welcome its first ever four-ship cruise day on Tuesday.

The Pearl Mist cruised into Pictou today to for a day-long visit carrying 200 passengers from the United States and Canada. The guests will visit various locations in Pictou County before sailing out at suppertime tonight.  A second cruise ship will visit Pictou County October 25.

The first to arrive is the Pearl Mist, which is set to dock Monday night, docking on the east berth. The Seabourn Quest will arrive first to arrive in the morning and will be at anchor at approximately 6 a.m. in the Charlottetown harbour. Holland America’s Veendam and the Norwegian Dawn will arrive shortly after.

In total, these four ships will be carrying approximately 4,234 passengers and 1,097 crew members, which will make for a busy day for tourism establishments across the Island.

Port Charlottetown is encouraging all Islanders to come down to the waterfront and offer a friendly hello to all visiting passengers and crew as they set out to explore our Island.
