Former P.E.I. school youth worker facing more sex charges

A former high school youth worker who went to prison after committing sex offences involving girls younger than 18 is facing further charges.

Arthur Francis McGuigan, 63, has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation for alleged offences dating back to 2009.

McGuigan was sentenced in 2014 to 5.5 years in prison for charges that included sexual exploitation, luring and drug trafficking.

He was a youth worker at Bluefield High School until his arrest on those charges.   

McGuigan has yet to enter any pleas on the latest charges and his next court date is scheduled for Oct. 10.
