CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A former Bluefield High School youth worker facing several charges including sexual assault will be back in court in September.

Arthur Francis McGuigan wasn’t in court Tuesday where a lawyer appeared on his behalf before Chief Justice Tracey Clements in P.E.I. Supreme Court.

McGuigan is facing charges of sexual assault, sexual exploitation and a drug offence.

The court heard he is expected to enter a plea during his next court appearance on Sept. 9.

McGuigan was sentenced in 2014 to more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual exploitation and drug trafficking involving a female student.
