The City of Charlottetown is hosting the second annual Fix It Fair on Saturday to connect Charlottetown residents with community resources, teach practical repair skills and provide opportunities to learn about different ways to practice sustainability.

This free event is being held at Murphy’s Community Centre, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will include a repair café, workshops, demonstrations, information booths and more.

A feature element of the Fix It Fair is the repair café, which will include talented fixers from a variety of expertise who have volunteered their services to assist in the free repair of various household items throughout this event.”

The city is monitoring the weather forecast for Saturday, and the intention is to go ahead with the event as planned. An announcement will be made through the city’s social media accounts by 9 a.m. if there are any delays or cancellations.
