CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Diesel and furnace oil have taken a five-point dive in the weekly petroleum pricing adjustment for Feb. 28, while gas prices have sunk by 3.5 cents per litre.

At self-serve outlets, regular unleaded gasoline now ranges from 111.4 to 112.6 cpl.

Diesel will range from 114.9 to 116.0 cpl and the maximum price for furnace oil is 87.2 cpl.

Propane prices decreased by 0.1 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing; increase by 1.0 cpl for both Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum; increase by 0.1 cpl for Superior Propane, and increase by 3.0 cpl for Island Petroleum.

Maximum prices for propane now range from 68.0 to 70.3 cpl.

The next scheduled price adjustment from the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission is March 6.
