CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. farm and two farmers facing charges related to a 2016 fish kill had their cases adjourned Monday before setting a day for their trial.
Skye View Farms, along with Alex Docherty and his son, Logan Docherty, have been charged with a violation of the federal Fisheries Act.
A report from UPEI’s climate research lab showed more than 75 millimetres of rain fell in the area of the farm in fewer than two hours from a localized storm on the day of a fish kill in 2016.
The matter was adjourned until April 24 to set a date for a trial.
