Fewer parking tickets issued in Charlottetown in June

It didn’t cost quite as much to park in downtown Charlottetown this past June as it did during the same time period in 2017.

Parking commissionaires in Charlottetown wrote 776 fewer tickets last month compared to June 2017.

Last month, commissionaires issued 2,695 parking tickets. That compares with 3,471 that were written in June 2017.

The number of year-to-date tickets is also down so far this year, from 16,943 that were written up to the end of June in 2017 compared to the 16,262 that have been written up to the end of June this year.

Also in June 2018, 94 tickets were issued under the nuisance bylaw compared to 48 in June 2017 and 37 tickets were issued under the dog bylaw compared to 41 written in June 2017.
