CHARLOTTETOWN – The federal government recently contributed some coin to the Bell Aliant Centre in Charlottetown.
Upgrades included closing in the second-floor viewing area over the pool deck, a new closed in and furnished viewing area in front of the MacLauchlan Arena windows in the main concourse and redesigning the stairs leading to the dressing rooms in the arena.
Sue Fraser, general manager at the centre, said the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) leveraged additional funds in order to complete more than $300,000 worth of capital work to the building.
The CIP funds were delivered through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
