CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A Charlottetown man who was caught driving drunk after leaving McDonald’s was recently fined $1,200 and banned from driving for one year.
Adarsh Joshy, 24, appeared before Judge Jeff Lantz in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to drunk driving.
The court heard that on Feb. 15 at around 3:50 a.m. a police officer saw Joshy’s vehicle cross over a lane several times after leaving the McDonald’s parking lot on University Avenue. Joshy later provided breathalyzer samples that were above the legal limit.
Along with the fine, Joshy must pay a $360 victim surcharge.
