A man and woman were treated with minor injuries following a motor vehicle collision in Charlottetown Wednesday.

Charlottetown Police Services received a call just before 8 a.m. Aug. 8 from a woman reporting a two-vehicle collision at Belvedere Avenue and North River Road.

Sgt. Dave Pound said both drivers received minor injuries.

“They were treated by Island EMS on the scene and did not require transport to QEH. They were released from the scene.”

Traffic was backed up for a short time and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and police are still in the process of interviewing witnesses.
