CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 39-year-old P.E.I. man was sentenced to 20 days in jail for breaching an order to have no contact with his former partner.
Neil Francis MacIsaac was given 11 days credit for time served and will be on probation for 12 months upon his release from custody.
He was also imposed a $100 victim surcharge.
MacIsaac pleaded guilty to breaching the order last month.
He agreed with the Crown’s suggestion that he may have first crossed paths accidentally with his former girlfriend but that the pair then chose to spend time together in breach of the no-contact order.
MacIsaac’s prior record is 24-pages long and includes being unlawfully at large and flight from police.
