BRACKLEY, P.E.I. - RCMP are continuing to investigate a collision that has left one individual with life-threatening injuries.
Police said four individuals were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Brackley at about 6:14 p.m. Sunday.
RCMP said all of the individuals were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where one of them remains with injuries that were described to police as life-threatening.
Route 15 was closed to traffic for several hours while an occupant of one of the vehicles was extracted using the Jaws of Life. The scene was also examined by RCMP collision analysts.
Sgt. Leanne Butler said she does not believe road conditions or weather played a factor.
“I believe it was a clear night last night,” she said.
Butler said the occupants were adults.
She described the vehicle damage as extensive.
