Junior Peter-Paul shows Cornwall resident Michael Cassidy the canoe he built from cedar, hardwood, spruce, tree gum and spruce roots. It took him three months to harvest the lumber and build the canoe. Peter-Paul had his canoe at the P.E.I. Indigenous Artisan Market on Sunday presented by the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of P.E.I., Lennox Island First Nation and Abegweit Mi’kmaw Nation. He was one of about 30 Indigenous artisans who are living in or are from P.E.I. who filled Founders’ Hall for the market.
