Children march in Charlottetown during annual event

Children from the Tiny Tot Early Years Centre in Charlottetown join parade marshal Brad Trivers, right, education and lifelong learning minister, in leading the National Child Day Parade in Charlottetown on Wednesday. Hundreds of children and their teachers marched up Kent Street, turning onto Great George Street, finishing behind the George Coles Building to celebrate an important day. Nov. 20 marks a special celebration of the rights of all children including the rights to good health, good education, protection from harm, pride in their heritage beliefs and to be included. National Child Day Parades also took place in other P.E.I. communities including Summerside, Souris, Bloomfield and Tignish.
