The City of Charlottetown is seeking public input from residents before it begins amending the zoning and development bylaw for the retail sale of cannabis.

Upon review of the province’s request for proposals it was noted that there are no provisions for limiting distances from schools, daycares and places where children assemble.

The city contacted the province to advise it some form of limiting distance may be required.
