CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A traffic advisory has been issued with the following impacts expected for Tuesday, May 26:

  • Line and crosswalk painting will take place on Kensignton Road, between Belmont Street and Park Street, between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m.
  • Line and crosswalk painting will take place on University Avenue at Enman Crescent between 5 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., as well as on Malpeque Road between Capital and Irwin drives between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
  • Kent Street between Great George and Prince streets will be reduced to one lane traffic. Sidewalks within the construction area are also impacted and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes. This closure is for construction related to the Fitzroy Parkade expansion. At this time, the parkade is closed until further notice. This lane closure will remain in effect until the completion of the project, which is anticipated to be the end of July.

Sidewalk work is scheduled to take place in the following areas (for the week of May 25-29):

  • Queen Street between Nassau Street and Emerald Drive, 
  • Pownal Street between Kent and Grafton streets and
  • All Souls Lane between Pownal and Rochford Streets.
