A traffic advisory has been issued with the following impacts expected for Tuesday, July 14:

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Sidewalk and Curbing work is scheduled to take place in the following areas (for the week of July 13 - 17):

  • Pownal Street between Kent and Dorchester streets;
  • Oak Drive between Brackley Point Road and Maple Avenue;
  • Enman Cresent between Raiders Road and University Avenue.

Pavement milling/paving is scheduled to take place in the following areas (for the week of July 13 -17):

  • St. Peter’s Road between St. Pius X Avenue and Fair Isle Ford will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic for the day.
  • Juniper Drive between Maple and Cedar avenues will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic.
  • Rose Moore Court off Goodwill Avenue will be closed for milling work.
  • John Street off Gerald Street will be closed for milling work.
  • Park Royal Court off Parkview Avenue will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic.
  • Maple Avenue between Oak and Greenleaf drives will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic.
  • Oak Drive between Brackley Point Road and Maple Avenue will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic.
  • MacKinnon Road off University Avenue will be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes. Sidewalks in the area will remain open and traffic control personal will be on site.

  • Kent Street between Great George and Prince streets will be reduced to one lane traffic. Sidewalks within the construction area are also impacted and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes. This closure is for construction related to the Fitzroy Parkade expansion. At this time, the parkade is closed until further notice. This lane closure will remain in effect until the completion of the project, which is anticipated to be mid-August.


Road Closure on Desbrisay Crescent

  • Desbrisay Crescent between Douglas and Queen streets will be closed for the day (Tuesday, July 14). This is necessary for the water and sewer utility to repair a manhole.
