Charlottetown traffic advisory for Friday, July 10

A traffic advisory has been issued with the following impacts expected for Friday, July 10:

-Juniper Drive, between Maple and Cedar avenues, is closed for the day and Willow Street, between Kirkwood Drive and Eden Street, will be closed this afternoon for milling work to occur.

-St. Peter’s Road, between St. Pius X Avenue and Fair Isle Ford, will be reduced to one lane traffic between approximately 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sidewalks within the construction zone will remain open. Traffic control personnel will be on site.

-Passmore Street, between University Avenue and Queen Street, may be reduced to one lane of stop and go traffic for the day to allow for infrastructure inspection.

-Sidewalk and Curbing work is scheduled to take place in the following areas: Pownal Street, between Kent to Richmond streets; Patterson Drive, between Southgate Avenue to Glenafton Drive; Maple Avenue, between Greenleaf and Oak drives; Oak Drive, between Brackley Point Road and Maple Avenue.

-Kent Street, between Great George and Prince streets, remains reduced to one lane traffic due to construction related to the Fitzroy Parkade expansion. Sidewalks within the construction area are also impacted and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes. At this time, the parkade is closed until further notice. This lane closure will remain in effect until the completion of the project, which is anticipated to be mid-August.
