CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Charlottetown police are searching for a suspect involved in two armed robberies that took place in the downtown area Thursday night.
The first armed robbery occurred at about 9:55 p.m. Nov. 21 when a man carrying a knife entered Famous Peppers at 202 Kent St. and demanded money.
Staff refused to give him anything and the suspect left and headed east on Kent Street.
The second armed robbery occurred minutes later at about 9:59 pm.
The same man entered Sobeys Express at 230 Euston St. and again demanded money, but again left empty-handed.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 6-ft tall, slim build. He had his face covered with a scarf/bandanna and was wearing dark clothing.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the robberies or the suspect before or after the robberies to contact them.
Police are also seeking any video surveillance that may have captured the suspect in the area.
