Charlottetown Police Services were out in force monitoring speeding in the month of August and University Avenue was a busy spot.

Officers issued 26 speeding tickets along the avenue between Enman Crescent and the entrance to UPEI, making it the top speed trap for the month by a long shot.

Police also find plenty of people driving too fast on the bypass highway.

A total of 13 tickets were issued on the arterial highway between the Brackley Point Road and St. Peters Road intersections.

Also high on the list for August was Fourth Street, which connects the West Royalty Industrial Park to the bypass highway. A total of 10 speeding tickets were issued there.

Ten tickets were issued on Lower Malpeque Road while eight tickets were issued along Brackley Point Road.
