CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. —

Charlottetown police laid several impaired driving charges over St. Patrick’s weekend, March 15-17.

At 10:23 a.m. March 15, a man was arrested and charged with impaired driving by a drug and was examined by a drug recognition expert. He was released with a pending court date.

At 11:55 p.m. March 16, a 30-year-old Charlottetown man was arrested and charged with impaired driving by alcohol. He was released and will appear in court at a later date.

On March 17, four impaired arrests were made by police.

At 2:53 a.m., a 21-year-old Charlottetown woman was arrested for impaired driving by alcohol. She was released with a court date.

At 5:48 p.m., a 42-year-old Charlottetown man was arrested for impaired driving by a drug and was examined by a drug recognition expert. He was released and will appear in court at a later date.

At 11:02 p.m., a traffic stop by an officer resulted in a man being issued a seven-day driving suspension after blowing a warning on a roadside screening device.
