A federal parolee, who failed to return for his curfew in Saint John, N.B., and unlawfully at large since Sunday, Oct 18., was arrested Thursday in Charlottetown.
Charlottetown Police Services were informed about Richard LeClair, 20, being wanted and that he may be in the Charlottetown area.
In addition to the arrest on the parole warrant, Charlottetown police have charged LeClair with fraud under $5,000 when he failed to pay for a cab fare from Saint John, N.B., to Charlottetown.
LeClair is serving a two-year sentence for a sexual assault conviction he received on Nov. 28, 2018.
He was lodged at the Provincial Correctional Centre in Milton Station before being returned to the federal penitentiary in Dorchester, N.B.
