CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The City of Charlottetown hopes to have a new deputy chief administrative officer in place within the next three months.
The position has been vacant since the city parted ways with Scott Messervey on Jan. 23.
No reason for Messervey’s departure was given, and no one from the city would comment on the matter to say whether he was fired or resigned.
The city created the position of deputy CAO in January 2018. Messervey had been serving as audit director in the province’s auditor general’s office prior to joining the city.
