CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Charlottetown’s parks and recreation department is spending nearly $60,000 on new playground equipment.
Lions Park and MacPherson Park will both see about $23,700 worth of equipment while Kennedy Park and MacLean Park are getting about $4,500 each in the form of two six-foot (two bay) swing sets with two tot seats and two belt seats each.
Rosemount Park and Westridge Park are getting about $4,600 worth of equipment each, consisting of two eight-feet (two bay) swing sets with two tot seats and two belt seats.
MacMillan Park will get about $1,251 in equipment, consisting of one six-foot (one bay) swing sets with one tot seat and one belt seat.
The resolution also calls for an estimated additional $75,000 for playground removal, installation and contingency costs.
