CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Branch Manager Tree Service has been awarded the contract for the city’s tree maintenance program.

It will cost the city $166 per hour for the boom truck rental and operator while the price for stump grinding comes in the amount of $224 per stump.

This expense has been previously approved in the 2019 operational budget.

The quote was publicly advertised and closed on May 1.

Work will include pruning and full tree removal that is beyond the city staff abilities.

The public works department has worked with the vendor in the past and anticipates no issues.
