Charlottetown murder case adjourned until May

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man who is facing a second-degree murder charge had his case adjourned Thursday until May.

Logan Raymond Kenneth MacAusland, 19, was not in provincial court in Charlottetown Thursday where his lawyer asked Judge John Douglas for the adjournment.

MacAusland is facing multiple charges before different judges, including second-degree murder, assaulting a peace officer and obstructing a police officer.

He was charged after the alleged murder of Cody Robert MacLean on Feb. 5 in Charlottetown.

Defence lawyer Thane MacEachern asked for an adjournment Thursday to give him time to go through the disclosure of evidence.

MacAusland remains in custody.
