CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A Charlottetown man who didn’t show up for two court appearances and was seen several times with a woman he wasn’t supposed to have contact with was sentenced recently to 90 days in jail.
John Wayne Blaisdell, 35, appeared before Judge Jeff Lantz in provincial court in Charlottetown where he was sentenced on multiple charges that included two counts of failing to attend court.
Before hearing his sentence, Blaisdell addressed the court to apologize and said he has been trying to be a productive member of the community.
“I’m trying to better myself,” he said.
Along with the jail time, Blaisdell will be on probation for 18 months after his release.
