CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 31-year-old Charlottetown man has been given a conditional sentence after using his former’ girlfriend’s bank card to withdraw almost $300.

Eric Thomas Beck was ordered to keep the peace and make a reasonable effort to repay the money he fraudulently withdrew.

A provincial court judge also ordered Beck to write a letter of apology to the victim and to perform five hours of community service.

The judge will be updated on Dec. 19 on Beck’s compliance with the conditional sentence.
