CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 25-year-old Charlottetown man has been fined for driving more than 60 kilometres per hour over the speed limit.
At 9 a.m. on Friday, July 10, police captured a vehicle driving 111 km/h on University Avenue, which is a 50 km/hr speed zone.
The speeding vehicle was pulled over and the driver was fined $750 for speeding under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police are reminding the public to respect posted speed limits as to not put themselves and others at risk of a potential collision.
