Charlottetown man charged with impaired driving after colliding with plow

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 35-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with impaired driving.

Charlottetown police responded to a collision between a vehicle and a Charlottetown Public Works sidewalk snowplow on Fitzroy Street at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.

The vehicle that ran into the plow left the scene before police arrived but was located a short time later on Euston Street.

The driver of the vehicle displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.

He has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in provincial court at a later date.

There were no reported injuries.
