Charlottetown man charged with impaired driving after being in collision

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - A 30-year-old Charlottetown man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after being involved in a collision Wednesday evening.

At about 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 16, Charlottetown police responded to a two-vehicle collision on the Arterial Highway.

While investigating the accident, it was determined that one of the drivers displayed signs of impairment by alcohol and was charged.

He will appear in provincial court at a later date.

Police encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving by calling 911.
