PISQUID, P.E.I. — A 24-year-old Charlottetown man faces impaired driving charges after police stopped his vehicle on Monday.

Kings District RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver on Route 22 in St. Theresa at around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 4.

Queens District RCMP officers intercepted the vehicle in Pisquid and determined that the driver was impaired. He was subsequently arrested and provided samples of his breath which were nearly double the legal limit.

The man was released and will appear in court at a later date.
