Charlottetown man charged following domestic violence complaint

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 23-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with assault.

At about 12:50 a.m. on Jan. 14, Charlottetown police responded to a complaint of domestic violence on Hillsborough Street.

As the result of the investigation, the man was charged. He was taken into custody and later released with conditions to stay away from the victim.

The accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.
